Fourth Court

Bagdat Pavilion

The cruciform Bagdat Pavilion which provides a superb view over the lower Bosphorus was built by Sultan Murad IV in 1638 to commemorate his capture of Bagdat which took place same year at the same year. The beautifully furnished room contain bronze fire place, attractive stain glass windows, magnificent tiles decorating the walls, a doomed canopy covered with leather.

Revan Pavilion

This beautiful kiosk was built in 1636 to commemorate the capture of Revan fortress in Caucasus.

The Circumcision Room

It was built for Sultan Ibrahim in 1641, and for next two centuries circumcision rites of the young Ottoman prince were carried out here. The interior and exterior of the room is magnificently decorated with Iznik tiles of the 16th and early 17th centuries.
