THE MILITARY MUSEUM

Located in the modern city, the Military Museum houses an amazing collection of military objects related to Ottoman history and Modern Turkey. These items with great historical value were collected by the Turkish army carefully in the course of centuries. Among the objects displayed, we can mention the chain which blocked the entry of the Golden Horn;

 outstanding collection of Ottoman military tents,

used by the Ottoman army during the campaigns; special displays for the conquest of Contantinope and the First World War. Visitors also have chance to listen to the concert of Mehter, the Ottoman military band whose musique had a great influence on the some well known composers like Mozart.
