KULA

Although Kula has been producing fine rugs since the 17th century, its golden age arrived in the 18th century. Kula rugs always attracted general interest because of its floral and geometrical patterns and soft colours. There is extensive use of stylised flowers and medallions. Since Kula and Gordes rugs influence each other so much, it is difficult to differ them from each other.

Today Kula weavers use the designs of the other areas of Turkey.
