Gulhane Park

Location: near Topkapi palace

Gulhane Park which was part of the former Royal Gardens of Topkapi Palace now used a public park by the population of Istanbul. During the Ottoman centuries many wooden pavilions were built to accommodate the member of Ottoman court during the summer months. Most of these fine Ottoman structures disappeared during the great fire of 1863.
