THE STEPS OF PAUL 14 days
Day 1.ISTANBUL-
Arrive to Istanbul and take a transfer to Hotel by the private motorcoach
Day 2. KAYSERI-CAPPADOCIA
Morning flight to Kayseri , the greatest city in Cappadocia and
birthplace of three Cappadocian fathers, Basil the Great, Gregory of Nysa and
Gregory of Naziansus. Visit the highlights of the city such as
Ulu Camii, Huant Hatun Complex, Kayseri Archeological Museum and city walls.
Drive to Cappadocia,
AY 3: CAPPADOCIA
ull day excursion of magical lunarscape of Cappadocia s rock hills and valleys.
Dominated by Mt. Argeus, Cappadocia offers the most amazing rock formations and
magnificent rock churches and monasteries dating to Byzantine Period. Visit G
reme Open air museum, Zelve rock cut city. Dinner and overnight at Dedeman
Hotel in NevIehir.
AY 4 CAPPADOCIA-KONYA
fter visiting the underground city of Kaymakl , drive to Konya . On
arrival the sightseeing tour of Konya, the city of Mevlana and Whirling
Dervishes. Visit the Mausoleum and Museum of Mevlana, the founder of
the order of Whirling Dervishes. Dinner and overnight in Konya.
AY 5 KONYA -PISIDIAN ANTIOCH-ANTALYA
roceed to Pisidian Antioch( Yalva ) where Paul desides to turn to Gentiles. Pass
by Egridir Lake and arrive to Antalya, the largest city on the Turkish
Mediterranean Coastline.
DAY 6 ANTALYA-PERGE-ASPENDOS
isit Perge where Saint Paul gave his first Sermon on the Anatolian Soil during
his first Missionary trip. Then continue to Aspendos to enjoy the finest Roman
theatre of the world. Dinner and overnight in Antalya.
DAY 7.ANTALYA-HIEROPOLIS-LAODICIA
rive to north through the Tauros Mountains and visit the ancient city of Hieropolis
where Saint Philip was martyred. After enjoying attractive
formations and travertine pools created by the thermal water, continue to
Laodicia, one of the Seven churches of the Revelation.
DAY 8 PAMUKKALE-MILETOS-KUSADASI
isit the ancient city of Aprodisias which rivals Ephesus with its magnificent
monuments and its school of sculpture. Proceed to Miletos where Paul
was during his third missionary trip. Dinner and Overnight in Korumar
Hotel at KuIadas .
DAY 9. EPHESUS-IZMIR
he ancient city of Ephesus, where Paul stayed nearly 3 years, is the most
preserved archaeological site in Turkey. Addressed by John as one of the
seven churches, Ephesus was the site of the Artemis Temple which was considered
as one of the Seven Wonders of the World. Full day tour of Ephesus including
Temple of Artemis, Basilica of Saint John and Selcuk Museum at
Selcuk. Dinner and overnight in Izmir Hilton.
DAY 10. AKHISAR-SARDIS- PHILEDELPHIA-IZMIR
Departure for Thyatira, one of the Seven Churches, hometown of Lydia
Paul met in Philip. Proceed to Sardis. the capital city of Lydian
Kingdom and famous King Croisus. Excavated by American archaeologist,
Sardis houses Artemis Temple, one of the greatest temples of Antiquity and
Gymnasium and Synagogue complex. Then visit Philadelphia, the city of brotherly
love. Return to Izmir. Dinner and overnight in Izmir Hilton.
DAY 11. IZMIR-PERGAMON-ISTANBUL
isiting ancient Agora of Symyna. Drive to Pergamon, the capital city of Pergamon
Kingdom which ruled over Anatolia after Alexander the Great. Addressed by Saint
John, Pergamon was site of famous Pergamon library and great healing centre to
Asclepios. Drive toIzmir and late afternoon flight to Istanbul. Dinner and
overnight in Hilton Hotel.
DAY 12. City tour of Istanbul.
rchaeological Museum of Istanbul, Visit the historical marvels of
Istanbul: Saint Sophia, Blue Mosques, Topkap Palace
Dinner and overnight in the Hilton Hotel.
Day 13. Cruising Bosphorous with a private boat. Lunch at
fish restaurant . Enjoy the Grand Bazaar in the afternoon.
DAY 14. Return flight to USA,
