Located in the Archaeological Museum Grounds, Tile Museum is situated in a fascinating 15th century Ottoman building. This beautiful building which is richly decorated with tiles was built by architect Atik Ali during the reign of Mehmet the Conquer in 1472. it is well accepted that it was Mehmet the Conqueror who designed this good looking building.

Tiled Mansion first served as the Museum of Mehmet the Conquer whose persona belongings were displayed there. But starting from 1967 and with the arrival of great collections arriving from Konya Museum,The Museum of Turkish and Islamic Arts and Topkap palace, tiled mansion started serving as the Tile Museum. The museum houses tiles from various centers such as Iznik, Kutahya and Canakkale and cover an era from 12 century to 19 the century in 6 major halls. In addition to tiles the ceremonial robe of Mehmet the Conqueror, his sword, his sceptre are among the pieces displayed there.
