Geography

Turkey covers 814.578 square km, which is slightly bigger than Texas. %3 percent of the country is in Europe, 97 % is in Asia. Location

Turkey runs 1600 km (994 miles) from east to west, 550 km (341 miles) from north to south. 42 degrees latitude passes through Sinop, Black Sea Town in the north of Turkey, 40 degrees latitude passes by ancient Antioch (modern Antakya) near Syrian Border. 25-degree longitude on İmroz, and 45-degree longitude on east where Aras and Karasu Rivers cross each other.
